Redesign and improve Loan Admin including its user experience, strategy and design.

Designed for lenders.
Loan Admin was designed to allow lenders to easily keep track of all their loans, allowing them to view their clients, earnings and loan history.
Project overview
I have been working with Hecmapp for more than 1 year, helping the brand to improve its strategy, user experience and design of the applications developed by the company.

we challenged ourselves to reinvent the digital presence of loan admin and create a better experience for the consumer. My role was to help craft the visual design, including working on user experience and prototyping.
-Understanding The Challenge-
for this project I planted the identification of the core of the challenge. and based on that, take into account as the main objective the redesign of an application improving the user experience, but still recognizable for previous users without modifying any of the functions.
kick off
This was a form of brainstorming during the initial period that proved to be very useful in laying the groundwork for the rest of our process, I started by writing on my ipad the first things that came to mind regarding each of the topics, main points , internal questions, and key words
in the team we used slack as a monitoring method for the project, and to keep a record of how everything was going
Research Insights
We conducted a user questionnaire to measure the impact of an application like loan admin on people in terms of usage. Here are the highlights of the ideas we uncovered by working with the results and feedback from the questionnaire.

75% of the participants stated that the loan admin design needed improvement.

the core community of lenders said they needed easy-to-use features

More than 75% of the participants stated that they mainly use their smartphone when organizing their client list than a notebook as before

The affirmation of the majority of the participants was that they would like a more immediate solution through the application

Design flaws observations
Before starting with the ideation of the new design, I carry out an analysis of the faults of the old design, pointing out each of the observations that should be improved in the future
the sign out button is unnecessary on the main screen, users will not be constantly logged out and it takes away space for better options
the hamburger menu is unnecessary due to the format of the application and I think these functions can be better adapted
the graphs for the common user are difficult to understand, so I understand that the profits can be represented in a simpler way
eliminating the unnecessary functions above it is not necessary to have a button to create a new loan below taking away space from the other tabs
Preliminary wireframes
By creating a more faithful but still fairly preliminary version of our schematics, we were able to resolve some of the technical and visual issues we could run into, as well as dim our "blue sky" screens. It was important to us to create a simple design and much more. elegant by focusing on working around the adaptation of the functions.
- Understanding the Current Interface -
Before diving into ideating the new experience, I took some time understanding the user goal and pain points of the existing interface.

Elevation
A core concept in Material design is to utilize depth and elevation to communicate the relationship between UI elements, and that is something I kept in mind throughout the process of high-fidelity design.

The Main tabs show content of your latest activities, such as earnings, active loans and delinquent loans, to allow a fast and accessible information experiences.

Create an account.
the account creation process is friendlier and much simpler, adding a carousel of important information for the use of the app

We have converted the method of adding payment into something more linear and simple, turning it into one of the simplest tasks of the app.
profile creation
We added the option of a profile, enclosing all the configuration options within it and showing your information in a deeper way, separating it from the main screen.
Style guide
By combining color tones that are generally associated with money and management as calm and relaxing greens/whites, we were able to sell the Loan admin identity as a relaxed and intuitive business application.

We used color sparingly throughout the app to convey which elements were interactive and should be given attention within the product. We also chose to use the Poppins fonts within the interface as they played a key role in matching the relaxed environment we had created in the Loan Admin interface.
Digital presence
one of the main focuses was to improve the entire digital presence of what loan admin is, this includes an update to the old logo, and the entire presentation of the app in the app store

Evaluation
After the design modification, the valuations rate in the app increased by 31%. Most importantly, lenders all over the world where thankful  because the new interface design made life easier for them.

the app is rewarding. More importantly, it efficiently improves the process of making a new loan.

The registration process is really simple and efficient, "much better than before".

Reflection
I had a lot of fun redesigning Loan Admin and I'm proud of it. However, much more remains to be done to improve Loan Admin.
I am proud not only of how loan admin turned out, but also of the process that led me to the end result. Unlike any other type of application, Loan admin broadened my horizon to the field of information visualization where I learned and applied some specific principles.

I learned that in order to improve the overall experience, I have to experience it and understand it, By conducting series of user experience research, I learned that some small design changes could lead to a big impact
